The Feldenkrais Method - discover your potential
Learn how to re-connect with your natural abilities to move, think and feel.
Feldenkrais is a mind-body approach to organic learning combining movement and awareness. It is amazingly effective for enhancing our natural abilities to move, think and feel.
Coordination, balance and flexibility in both action and thinking are enhanced. Feldenkrais helps to reduce pain and overcome unhelpful habits that cause stress and fatigue. As old habits are released you will experience improved flexibility and coordination, along with a sense of grace and ease.
Engaging in these lessons, you will rediscover the pleasure in moving you experienced as a child.
Re-awakening an attitude of curiosity and playfulness, these movement lessons lead to discovering both ease and power in moving, doing and engaging with your environment.
Lessons are designed to enhance any activity, whether it is walking or sitting, gardening, performing in sports or the arts, breathing or singing, basically anything that involves movement.
Mindfulness Meditation - awareness & stillness
Through mindfulness practice we develop a more open, flexible and tranquil mind, awareness mind.
Developing awareness brings depth to our experience of simply being present, in both activity and stillness, and supports learning and growth in all dimensions. Feldenkrais and Mindfulness meditation complement each other beautifully, with each practice enhancing one’s experience of the other.
Covid-19 lockdown
In this period of lockdown due to Covid-19, classes have been moved on-line via Zoom (see below). This will be changed once the situation improves.
Also there may be limited availabiity for face-to-face individual lessons. However, it is possible to book individual lessons via TeleHealth. While it will be different to face-to-face lessons, people are reporting that they find this way of learning with lessons tailored to their specific needs and movement challenges works really well for them. Contact your practitioenr to find out more.

“What I am after isn't flexible bodies, but flexible brains. What I am after is to restore each person to their human dignity.” Moshe Feldenkrais

“Through awareness we can learn to move with astonishing lightness and freedom – at almost any age – and thereby improve our living circumstances, not only physically… but emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.”
